Beautiful Content Writing

SEO Copy

Our website copy AKA SEO content is strategically written to appeal to the search engines algorithms, we map out the keywords that are to be targeted and the semantically connecting words; we do this to ensure that any pages we write perform well on Google and other search engines and attract the maximum traffic possible without needing to do any further optimisation.

Research Articles

Writing content intended for a specific niche is difficult. Writing convincing content for a niche which has a rabid fan following is even harder. Having to come up with a solid gold article on a topic such as cricket - with no prior knowledge - really separates the average copywriters from the real pros. Our team deliver articles daily that get published on dozens of niche sites covering everything from hardcore finance topics to fashion and travel.

Content Strategy

As a further service we offer 'content strategy' which is included in the price of 4p per word. This includes us analysing which keywords should be used, as well as optimum page-lengths and where the weak points are in existing copy within a website. This is a non-charging and complimentary service as part of what we provide when content is ordered from us.

Our Writing Team

All our writers are either professional journalists or authors and have been tested to extremely high standards and are continually scored and monitored with each piece of work they produce. All our work is run through copyscape as a final check to ensure that the copy is free from duplication.

If pictures are required, we can also include up to two 'creative commons' pictures with each article, this service is also complimentary.

Sample Article

Not only did the writer have to rely on research alone in lieu of previous experience, but the brief itself presented its own extra challenges; it had to not only be somewhat rooted in cricket statistics rather than general commentary, but the writer was also required to somehow mix in health-related content in a natural and non-detracting way. Above all else, the resulting piece had to genuinely entertain as well as teach an extremely knowledgeable audience something they didn't already know; with this in mind, you can see why this carefully constructed, concise piece made its way into a high-profile print publication without any qualms from the editorial department.

Drugs in Cricket Does It Affect Stats?

The news this week that Indian cricketer Rahul Sharma and South Africas spin bowler Wayne Parnell have both failed a recreational drug test is concerning. Drug use within cricket is not seen by most as a serious problem, but the evidence shows that cricketers are far from immune to the temptations of illegal drugs and alcohol abuse. For some its hard enough to keep free from smoking, let alone high cost champagne drugs they are exposed to. Does it affect stats? Whether or not their performance is affected is a job for a relentless cricket statistician with a free afternoon. It could be a useful exercise. Perhaps the stats would tell their own story. If youre still not convinced that drug use is prevalent in cricket, read on&

Jesse Ryder

New Zealand cricketer Jesse Ryder was forced to take a clinical psychologist along to help support him through the early days of the Indian Premier League in April. His well-documented struggle with alcohol and the resulting unprofessional behaviour has had an extremely deleterious effect on his career. Of concern are his revelations that life is made extremely relaxing by the franchisees of the IPL, who make sure that the teams are never short of free drinks and parties to attend. A clever move, getting the opposition so relaxed they cant play. Ryder is managing to stay on the wagon, but its clear that his early departure from cricket is down to one thing alcohol addiction. What a loss for NZ cricket, and a personal tragedy for the man himself. Ryder's Stats.

Dermot Reeve

Awarded an OBE in 1996, former cricketer and one time coach of New Zealands Central Districts could not have fallen much further from grace due to his disasterous cocaine habit. Having secured a lucrative and high-profile job as a cricket commentator after the end of his playing career, he managed to throw it all away in 2005, after being banned from working in English Cricket by the England Cricket Board. The reason? His frank admission that he was so high during his commentary on the 2004 Lords Test against New Zealand that he couldnt remember a single thing about the two-day event. Sadly, having thrown his career away, he went on to lose his second wife. According to Reeve, his problems started when he began smoking cannabis during his captaincy of Warwickshire in the mid-90s. Reeve rallied professionally whilst living in NZ, leading the Central Districts to victory in the Plunket Shield four day final 2008-9. They subsequently won the 2009-10 Twenty20. This was to be just about Reeves last foray in to the world of cricket, and his actions since leaving the game have been controversial. His drug addiction was crickets loss once again. Dermots Stats

Drugs Cost Cricket

British cricketer Chris Lewis, (Cap 544) who played his Test debut against New Zealand on 5th July 1990, is currently serving out a 13 year sentence for cocaine smuggling in the UK. Lewis Stats Cape Cobras allrounder Rory Kleinveldt, who has, to date, played two Twenty20 internationals home country South Africa, pleaded guilty to using marijuana in Feb 2012, after faileding a drugs test. He was withdrawn from the team and given a provisional suspension. Kleinveldts Stats

England cricketer Paul Smith was banned by the English Cricket Board for his use of recreational drugs cannabis, cocaine and speed, in 1997, leading to a downward spiral, which ended with him homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. He has finally managed to turn his life around, forming the charity Cricket Without Boundaries, a project designed to use the spirit and tradition of cricket to teach wayward kids a new approach to life, and discourage them from getting involves in drugs and crime. Smiths Stats

The list goes on, and it would be interesting to see if a statistical correlation between drug use and performance emerges. There is cause for hope, however, with international cricketing authorities now taking the problem more seriously and instigating support and confidential information lines. With the increasing monetisation of cricket its not surprising that players are getting seduced by the glamorous lifestyle that can be offered to them on a plate. Its right that the organisers and sponsors of the sport help players when things start to go wrong. In Paul Smiths words, In retrospect, if I was in charge I would have put a huge barrier around that team - I would also have educated them.
